Turn your pants
into a skirt!

All the materials you'll need:
- jeans
- box of safety pins
- scissors
- colorful fabric

1. With pants on a flat surface, fold legs, matching them up, one on top of the other. Cut off 8 to 12 inches from the bottom hem of the pants. The smaller the number of inches, the longer your skirt will be.
2. Unfold legs and cut the inseam starting at the bottom and cutting upward, stopping at the bottom of the zipper.
3. Lay pants flat, placing flap from right pant leg on top of the other pant leg, creating an upside down "V" shape in the middle of the skirt.
4. Place any piece of colorful fabric in the center and cut it to the "V" shape, making it two inches bigger on all sides, then position inside the cut-out shape in the center of skirt.
5. Place fabric under the skirt and start safety-pinning at the bottom of the zipper working down each side until both sides of fabric are attached. Place safety pins 1/2 inch apart and make sure you pin through both the fabric and the jeans.
6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 with the backside of the skirt.
